#Ads of the Week: New World & Tribes of Midgard

In the newest edition of #Ads of the Week, the New World closed beta is still on top but closely followed by Tribes of Midgard. New World has shaken up the gaming and live streaming world with it’s beta. Many of the top streamers have jumped into the MMO to satisfy their role-playing cravings. However, the closed beta is coming to an end later today (August 2nd) and players will have to wait until August 31st for the full release. The official launch of the game looks to be enormous based on the incredible success of the closed beta.

The beta’s success is due in part to sponsored streams with creators on Twitch, YouTube Gaming, and Facebook Gaming. The likes of shroud, Fextralife, ZeratoR, and others have all provided sizeable viewership in partnership with the game. Just a few hours streaming the game can bring well over 50K peak viewers for top streamers. Leveraging creators on live streaming platforms is incredibly important for new releases. New World is proving that their marketing strategy revolves heavily around streamers. But the release at the end of the month will decide if their tactic worked.

Lastly, LIRIK streamed a new role-playing action game called Tribes of Midgard. The game released on July 27th and used LIRIK to help showcase the new gameplay. With plenty of anticipated new releases in Q3 and Q4, using streamers may be the most effective way of reaching target audiences.

Fextralife x New World
  • Fextralife’s stream of New World generated a total of 82K hours watched in 4 hours!
ZeratoR x New World
  • ZeratoR, a French streamer, also held a successful New World segment averaging 12K viewers over 5 hours.
LIRIK x Tribes of Midgard
  • LIRIK’s Tribes of Midgard stream reached 58K hours watched with a peak of 26K viewers.
